Handwara 02 May (KNO) : Condemning the brutal murder of Liyaqat Ali, an eleventh class student in Bilawar Kathua today as a result of stabbing him by goons, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has warned Govt. of dire consequences for its failure to protect the minority community in Jammu.

While interacting with various groups in Handwara today Er Rasheed said that Govt. has proved to be a failure on all fronts and the unwanted provoking statement of Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta and a negative campaign by a section of Indian Media to give direct support to Kathua accused culprits has emboldened fringe and communal elements to do damn things of their choice. Er Rasheed said, “The free hand given to goons has rendered Jammu Muslims in a feeling of absolute sense of insecurity.

Govt. leaves no stone unturned to prove majority community in Jammu and Kashmir intolerant and radical but the fact of the matter is that their blood has become cheap from Kathua to Baramulla and Pulwama to Billawal and elsewhere. Voice of the majority community goes unheard and their every genuine demand is given communal color under a well-crafted plan to strengthen the communal forces in Jammu”. Er. Rasheed while appealing for maintaining communal harmony in the entire state questioned Indian Media and state Government that why did they turn a blind eye towards the confession made by tourists hailing from other Indian states that they received all sorts of cooperation from locals in Kashmir when they came under stone Pelting at some places In South Kashmir.

While referring to attack on school bus in Shopian Er. Rasheed appealed students to make education their priority and restrain from targeting their own colleagues. Er Rasheed said that party will carry out a protest march towards Civil secretariat on 7th of May, on eve of Opening of Darbar in Srinagar, against sense of insecurity among Jammu Muslims, use of disproportionate force against Kashmiris, continuation of SRO-202, failure of Govt to fulfill genuine demands of clerical staff, delay in release of salaries of SSA teachers and flooded entry of beggars and slum dwellers in Kashmir valley.
